They supported my pursuit of an MBA with a flexible schedule to accommodate my course load. They’ve also been very supportive of my interest in teaching, and, as a result, I’ve been able to become a sessional professor of marketing in addition to my role with H&R Block.

It’s an opportunity to provide advice and help them optimize their tax situation. H&R Block’s Tax Academy courses have been a great tool for continuous learning, now I am an instructor and teach others.

Through Tax Academy courses, professional support, and a friendly and flexible work environment, I’m given many opportunities to grow my career and achieve my professional goals.

I’ve been fortunate to report to various Regional Directors who all taught me something new. When I stepped into my current role at head office, everyone there was exceptional at creating an environment that fosters growth and working together to make Block the best it can be. When I look back on my time with H&R Block, I will remember the people and friendships I’ve made over the years the most.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with very diverse and talented people in my over 40-year tenure with the company. I’ve completed numerous internal/external training programs, and leadership development programs – all provided by the company. Most of all though, it’s been the guidance of some great leaders, the strong support for female leadership in the organization, and our truly unique culture that has made it a pleasure to show up every day.

I love working for a company that can make a real impact on their clients’ lives. I feel the work I do here is meaningful and this is what keeps me going. The sense of belonging here makes Block my second home. Over the years, I’ve taken various courses at H&R Block, from individual income tax, to corporate, and U.S. income tax – these courses have helped me tremendously in my role as a District Manager/Spokesperson. I cherish all the opportunities where I am challenged with new tasks, as this is how I’ve grown to where I am today.

And the opportunities granted to me have allowed me to go from answering phones to helping the whole district. If I had to describe my experience here in one word, it would be empowering. What I’ve learned at Block throughout the years has given me powerful knowledge and strength.
