The Opportunity:

The District Operations Coordinator reports to the District Manager. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and take on the responsibilities of day-to-day operational support for our district retail offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong initiative, demonstrating a readiness to tackle challenges and contribute to the smooth functioning of our retail locations.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist District Managers with daily operations.
  • Travel to various office locations to train staff, ensure excellent client standards, set up compute equipment, and install marketing/signage.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard talent.
  • Monitor and adjust office and staffing schedules as necessary.
  • Coordinate the setup and shutdown of assigned offices.
  • Support the planning and execution of training and development initiatives.
  • Maintain asset management inventory, process invoice payments, and manage petty cash.
  • Ensure compliance with H&R Block policies, procedures, and relevant employment and privacy legislation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail or a similar customer-oriented industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, particularly during Tax Season!
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to set up workstation computers and work with various software packages.
  • Capable of working independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Proficiency in additional languages an asset..
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel regularly to multiple district offices.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration, and a reliable vehicle.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00. Please note that hourly positions are not eligible for the Company’s benefit plan.
