The Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our Marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies.

As a Marketing Intern, you will collaborate with our marketing team in all stages of the marketing campaign. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels.

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

This position is based in Calgary and offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days per week in-office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with website, blog and intranet content updates.
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with database creation/analysis.
  • Proof client-facing messages and manage translation agencies.
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, direct mail and web).
  • Assist in preparing promotional presentations and local advertising creative.
  • Help distribute marketing materials.
  • Complete weekly marketing status reports.
  • Help organize business development events.
  • Support the local field leaders in various marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with internal events, as needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a related BBA degree program.
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail is a must.
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (i.e., CRM tools, Online analytics, and Google AdWords).
  • Passion for marketing and advertising.
