The Opportunity

The Cash Settlement Assistant reports to the Supervisor, Settlement Team and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while conducting collection campaigns in ensuring timely and accurate cash settlements.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Handles inbound and outbound calls promptly and efficiently.
  • Utilizes predefined communication scripts for various tasks.
  • Identifies client requirements, clarifies information, and offers appropriate solutions or alternatives.
  • Verifies debt amounts by utilizing multiple software applications, company records, and online resources.
  • Executes customized collections campaigns through emails, phone calls, and mail correspondence.
  • Assists clients in establishing debt repayment schedules tailored to their financial circumstances.
  • Facilitates payment processing or guides clients to an H&R Block office for assistance.
  • Conducts audits on debt files to prepare them for submission to collection agencies.
  • Responds to inquiries from clients as well as from internal Associates.
  • Assist in the processing of Peace of Mind claims.

Key Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both French and English is a must.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with personal income tax an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Exhibits excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.
